FMU: First-year player at FMU....A great player, a great student, and great person....A player who understands the game and is willing to play any position needed for her program to be successful....Showing her versatility, she has also caught some games behind the plate.....Can’t wait to see where she will fit in for our program for 2020....FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll 2019 (fall), 2020 (spring).

PERSONAL:

• Born Jaiden Leigh Kiser in Hickory, NC
• A graduate of Maiden High School, where she played under the direction of coach Hugh McCall
• Team captain as a senior
• 2019 All-Conference and All-District
• As a junior, batted .386 with 17 runs scored, 12 doubles, 28 runs batted in, and a .462 on-base percentage as Maiden posted a 20-4 record
• In 21 games during her sophomore year, she scored 15 runs and drove in 12, while helping the Blue Devils to a 13-8 record and the second round of the NCHSAA 2A state tournament
• A four-year varsity letterwinner, she has earned her team’s Defensive Most Valuable Player Award in 2017, 2018, and 2019
• Made a trip to Europe with a USA Softball squad in 2017
• Played club ball for Team NC U18
• Between 2014 and 2018 in travel ball (341 games), she has batted .410 with 159 runs scored

• Why you first chose your sport: I love the mental aspect that the sport requires and the reaction times needed
• The biggest mental challenge to you improving faster: Overcoming my already existing anxiety while I’m on the field
• Interesting Notes:  Defensive MVP of High School my sophomore, junior, and senior year; Captain during senior year; All-Conference and All-District senior year; I’ve drawn a couple tattoos for my friends
