PERSONAL: Born Cristi Kay Pressley in Monroe, N.C....A product of Piedmont High School, where she played under the direction of coach Jason Phelix.....Compiled a 14-9 record as a senior with a 1.67 earned run average, 128 strikeouts in 151.1 innings, a .205 batting average against, five shutouts, and one no-hitter.....Also batted .273 with five doubles, two home runs, and 17 runs batted in.....Three-time All-State, All-District, and All-Conference selection....Holds numerous career records at Piedmont, including strikeouts (578), wins (58), ERA (1.70), and innings pitched (582.1).....As a junior, went 19-5 with a 1.41 ERA for the Panthers and registered 178 strikeouts in 174 innings pitched.....At the plate, batted .395 with 17 RBIs and a .552 slugging percentage.....Was named the North Carolina Region 6 Pitcher of the Year for the second consecutive year, in addition to being named the 3A State Pitcher of the Year and the Southern Carolina Conference (SCC) Pitcher of the Year.....Helped lead Piedmont to the semifinals of the 2015 3A State Playoffs after sharing the SCC regular-season championship.....Participated in the Powerade State Games in 2013, 2014, and 2015.....Nickname is Cris.
