PERSONAL: Born Brooke Nicole Holcomb in Wilmington, N.C....A graduate of South Brunswick High School, where she played for coach Terry Walker.....Batted .409 as a senior with 12 doubles and 22 RBIs.....All-State honoree.....Also played with the Carolina Gators travel squad, and was selected to the All-American game – where she filmed a television segment with two-time Olympian Michelle Smith on how to properly play first base.
