- Why you first chose your sport: Ive always liked to run, and I’ve always found it to be my happy place whenever I am stressed or overwhelmedÂ
- Biggest mental challenge in your sport: Pushing through the pain is one of the hardest things to do just because we are constantly pushing ourselves to be faster and better every time we run and race. Having the right support I’d say is the second hardest just due to the fact that running is one of the hardest sports to do day in and day out and without having much support at races due to the lack of interest from most people or not having much support from the student body and them being aware that we have competitions, it makes it hard to keep going unless you have the cheers from your friends and family. Lastly, having the motivation to run every day. There are just some days where you don’t want to get out of bed or just lay around a do nothing and that’s a hard thing to get out of your head sometimes
- Interesting Notes: When I’m not running, I like to cook and bake, it’s something that takes me out of where I am, and shows another side of me not a lot of people know. My great grandfather also checked the eyes of the guys who dropped the Atomic Bombs in World War II; I advanced to the state cross country meet twice (freshman, senior); I have made the All-Region team twice; My sophomore year, I was one spot away from making All-Region and states
- Brush With Greatness: Tim Tebow, Connor Shaw, Juan Soto, Duce Staley, Frank Martin, Chad Holbrook, Mark Kingston, Dominic Brown, Rick Henry
