Biography

FMU:  First-year player at FMU....Local Product....Will increase our abilities on the base paths with her speed and aggressiveness....Will work in both the outfield and the infield....Excited to see where she will land playing time....Brings something to the table to help our program’s success in 2022....Can’t wait for her to arrive on campus so we can get started.

  • Born Angelle Elizabeth Siders in Riverhead, NY
  • Graduate of South Florence High School, where she played for coach Bobby Jones
  • As a senior, batted .312 with 19 runs scored, eight runs driven in, and a .391 on-base percentage
  • Helped lead the Bruins to a 20-win season and a run in the 2021 AAAA state tournament
  • 3-time All-Conference selection
  • Earned All-State honors in 2019
  • Team MVP in 2019 as a sophomore
  • Named the MVP of the 2021 Class 4A/3A North-South All-Star Game.
  • Nicknames are Gelle or Gello

  • How you got your nickname: When I was younger, not many people knew how to pronounce my name properly so they shorten it to Gelle/Gello

  • Why you first chose your sport: My parents made me quit baseball to play softball and I just fell in love with the game
