FMU: 2-year letterman....Ran cross country in 2020 and 2021....Team MVP 2021....Ran in all five meets in 2021....Was the top Patriot finisher in four meets....Placed 28th at 2021 Conference Carolinas Championship Meet with a time of 27:04.3....Led the squadRan 3 of 4 meets during the covid-shortened 2020 season....Led FMU in 2 of the 4 races (including the PBC meet)....Placed 37th at the 2020 Peach Belt Conference Championships....2021 Track Team MVP....One could argue that Mixon is the best distance runner from this area during coach Bluman's nearly 20 years on the FMU campus....What he has accomplished in just 18 months of running is simply remarkable as the sport just comes so natural for him.....His high school coach has told us that Pearson has done considerable research on our sport which is hardly surprising.....A dedicated student of running with a passion and drive that shows he is capable of being the cornerstone of the Patriot program for years to come....He just recently got involved with distance running....Had a competitive and friendly soccer rivalry with new teammate Cullen Dore, and looking forward to seeing them soon pushing each other to reach their maximum potential as teammates.....Member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity....FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll 2024 (fall), 2025 (spring)....Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll 2024 (fall), 2025 (spring).

• Born in Florence, SC
• A graduate of West Florence High School, where he ran for coach James Fritchman
• Region 6-AAAAA champion in 2019 (fall) as the Knights won the team title
• Earned his team’s MVP award after also winning four in-season races in 2019: Darlington Cross Country Carnival, Pee-Dee Classic, Carolina Forest Invitational, and the Lugoff-Elgin Invitational
• Qualifier for the 2019 state meet
• Personal-best time of 16:08 for 5,000-meters
• 2-time All-Region selection
