FMU:  First-year runner at FMU....Local product.....A grinder, as in the hockey term, but it can apply to all sports.....Might not get all the headlines, but he gets respect from his coaches and teammates for his work ethic.....No one can slack off when you have one of these athletes on your team.....A valuable addition to the program....FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll 2021 (spring).

• Born Coleman King Nance in West Columbia, SC
• A graduate of The King's Academy, where he ran for coach Jonathan King
• Personal-best 5,000-meters time of 21:18.1 at the 2019 SCISA AA state championship meet
• Placed 72nd among all runners and helped the Lions to a 12th-place showing in the team standings at the 2019 state meet
• Nickname is Cole

• Goals for Upcoming Season:  To improve and set a baseline time for the rest of the year, so that I am able to build from there
• Why you choose your sport: Because I wanted to stay in shape for basketball season that was coming up
• The biggest mental challenge to improving faster: Pushing through the pain and understanding that pain is only mental and if you can get your mind off the problem then you will improve extremely
