FMU: First-year player at FMU....A natural lefty that will give the squad added depth on the mound, as well as push for time at first base and in the batting lineup....Had over 100 hits in her high school career and helped lead her team pitching as well.....A confident, outgoing young lady that will also work hard in the classroom.....Very eager to start her next step in academics and softball by becoming a Patriot....FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll 2015 (fall).

PERSONAL: Born Jessica Megan Thompson in Christiana, Del....A product of Penns Grove High School, where she played for coaches Dave Tiefenthaler and John Zagone.....Four-year letterwinner....Finished her prep career with more than 20 wins, more than a strikeout per inning pitched, and tallied 100 hits herself at the plate.....As a senior, earned third-team All-Group I honors after helping lead the Red Devils to a 14-8 mark and a spot in the South Jersey Group I semifinals.....Also named a 2015 Tri-County Conference All-Diamond Division second-team All-Star.....During her junior campaign, she batted .355 with 17 runs batted in, while winning nine games on the mound and posting a 2.39 earned run average.....In the classroom, she was an honor roll student.
