Germanakos enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Patriot acrobatics and tumbling program.
She earned both a B.A. degree in sociology and a M.A. degree in teaching at the secondary level from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut.
As an undergraduate student, she was part of Quinnipiac's acrobatics and tumbling squad and served as team captain as a senior. She earned Scholar-Athlete recognition for the 2015-16 year.
Upon receiving her undergraduate degree, she served as an assistant coach for two seasons at her alma mater.
More recently, she was a teacher and program coordinator at Harrison High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was named the school's Teacher of the Year for 2022-23.
