FMU: Returning starter and letterwinner....Appeared in 36 games with 28 starts in 2015....Made 19 mound appearances and started 17 times at first base....Registered three homers and 11 RBIs....Led team and conference (ranked 36th nationally) with three saves....The three saves tied the school single-season record....One of two transfers from Florida State College at Jacksonville (Mykah Nevin)....Has wanted to be a Patriot for a long time....Excited about her bat.....Should see some significant time on the mound, get time at the plate, and possibly some playing time at first base as well....Came to FMU as a camper since she was in high school and unfortunately had an injury at a bad time that kept it from happening then.....FSCJ: Appeared in 39 games in 2014 and batted .316 with two home runs, four doubles and 23 RBIs. On the mound, she registered a 4-0 record with a 3.25 earned run average.....Started all 40 games as a freshman for the College of Coastal Georgia in 2013.....CCG: On the mound, pitched 120.1 innings, posted a 5-13 mark and struck out 51 batters to finish the season with a 5.18 ERA.....Led the team’s pitching staff in several categories, including 13 complete games.....At the plate, hit .275 with 15 RBIs and four home runs. Her 33 hits were good for third most on the team.

PERSONAL: Born Shelby Lauren Kelley in Jacksonville, Fla....A graduate of First Coast High School, where she played for coach Chrisanne Hooten....Lettered four years in both volleyball and softball.....Garnered All-Conference honors each of her four years on the diamond and led her team to a district championship as a senior....All-State Team Class 6A as a junior....National Honor Society member....French Honor Society member.... Nickname is Slick.
