Francis Marion improves to 12-3 overall with a 9-2 mark at home. The Patriots will spend the next week on the road with a doubleheader at Lander University on Wednesday (Feb. 23) before traveling to Wingate University on Saturday (Feb. 28).
Poston, a Hartsville native, (5-1) dominated in the circle after yielding zero runs on one hit with five strikeouts and no walks in 7.0 innings pitched (86 pitches). She retired the initial seven batters she faced while carrying a no-hitter in the fifth inning.
At the plate, senior shortstop

Reese Miller and
Rylee Gray finished 2-for-4 in Saturday's win.
The Patriots tallied three hits in the opening two frames of the contest but stranded five runners on base, including a trio in scoring position. Francis Marion got on the board in the bottom of the third after a fielding error by the shortstop allowed junior designated player
McKenzie Jewell to score from second base, 1-0.
Following a scoreless fourth, the Patriots loaded the bases in the fifth with three singles. With one out, graduate student outfielder
Mikaela Goss drew a bases-loaded walk to add a run before White delivered a sacrifice fly to center field, 3-0.
Poston retired the side in order in the final two frames to seal the shutout win.
