Graduate student forward Tehya Dave' of the Francis Marion University women's soccer team has been named the McDonald’s Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Aug. 27-30, 2026.

Dave’, the reigning Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year, began the 2026 slate with a five-point performance (two goals, one assist), as the Patriots recorded a 4-1 victory over USC Aiken in a weather shorten matchup on Thursday.

She registered an assist on the opening goal of the game in the fifth minute before adding to the lead with her first goal of the season at the 19:48-mark to put FMU back in front by a 2-1 margin. In the second half, Dave’ completed her brace after driving past the Pacer defense and burying a shot into the bottom left corner of the net.

Dave’ is now 11th all-time in career goals for FMU with 24, surpassing Sabina Sapienza (1999-2001). The Pittsburgh native also ranks 12th in program history with 61 career points for the Patriots (24 goals, 13 assists).

Francis Marion will face #8 nationally-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne University in a Southeast Regional matchup at Hartzler Field, starting at 5:30 p.m.
