The Francis Marion University volleyball team will host Flagler College on Senior Day to conclude the Patriots' regular-season schedule, Saturday (Nov. 11) at 2 p.m. in the Smith University Center.
Admission is free. The match will be streamed live online courtesy of the Patriot Sports Network.
The Patriots are 9-16 overall and winners of two straight and own a 3-8 Peach Belt Conference record. Flagler owned a 19-3 overall record and led the PBC with an 8-1 mark heading into a match at UNC Pembroke on Friday night.
The Peach Belt Tournament will begin with three quarterfinal matches on Friday (Nov. 17) in Milledgeville, Ga., on the campus of Georgia College.
Meek, a biology major, is a three-year letterwinner after transferring from Malone University in Ohio. She has appeared in 113 career matches (413 sets) and compiled 352 kills, 1,177 digs, 72 service aces, and 45 total blocks. She was named to the PBC All-Academic Team in 2016 and has served three years on the university's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She is a member of Gamma Sigma Epsilon chemistry honor society, and has been selected to both the PBC Presidential Honor Roll and FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll during her time at Francis Marion.
Hartings, a marketing major, is a two-year letterwinner after transferring from Owens Community College in Ohio. She has appeared in 51 career matches (177 sets) as a Patriot and tallied 388 kills, 254 digs, 62 total blocks, and nine service aces. She was named to the FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll last semester.
