Patriot Women serve in the Community

Members of the 2017-18 Francis Marion University women's basketball team recently took part in community service work with the Pee Dee Community Action Partnership in Marion, S.C.   Team members participated in a Strengthening the Family program.

The Pee Dee Community Action Partnership is a nationally-affiliated, non-profit organization that reaches out to the low-income residents of Florence, Marion, and Dillon Counties of South Carolina. The organization has a fifty-year history of serving low-income children, parents and families in the communities of these three counties. The agency strengthens the community through the provision of economic, early learning and family services to the poor and low income. Its services develop and improve low-income communities and neighborhoods through evidence programs and strategies that work.
