Francis Marion University men's golf coach Mark Gaynor has announced the signing of Grant Sellers of McBee, S.C., to a national letter of intent during the recent early signing period.
Sellers is a senior at McBee High School, where he plays under the direction of coaches Barry Brown and Pat Cook. He was the 2017 Class A individual state champion after shooting the lowest score in school history 70-69=139, while at the same time leading the Panthers to the Class A team title as well.
He is a two-time All-State selection, was named the 2017 Class A Player of the Year, and has earned his region Player of the Year award three times.
At 5-10 and 195 pounds, Sellers also lettered in basketball during his high school career.
"We are very excited to have Grant here at Francis Marion University," said Gaynor. "He is one of the top players in the state of South Carolina and will be a great fit for our team."
The Patriots currently have three seniors on the 2017-18 squad.
