Patriots host Bulldogs on baseball diamond

Francis Marion University will host Barton College on Tuesday (March 13) in non-conference baseball action.

First-pitch is set for 6 p.m. on Cormell Field at Sparrow Stadium in the Griffin Athletic Complex. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students with FMU students admitted free with identification.

Francis Marion is 8-15, while the Bulldogs will enter the contest at 9-15.  FMU blanked Barton 9-0 earlier this season.

The Patriots lead the all-time series 28-14.

Freshman right-hander Austin Roseberry will be FMU's probable starter.  The Charlotte native will be making his third start and 11th mound appearance and owns a 1-1 mark with a 6.87 earned run average. He has fanned 13 batters in 18.1 innings pitched.

Senior designated hitter Tee DuBose leads the Patriots with a .408 batting average in 13 games, while junior infielder CJ Mackinson has a .309 average with four homers and 11 runs batted in.
