FLORENCE, SC – The Francis Marion University baseball team will play host to North Greenville University in a battle of nationally ranked non-conference foes, Wednesday (March 15) at 3 p.m.
General admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students. FMU faculty, staff, and students are admitted free with ID.

The high school game between South Florence and West Florence high schools set for later Wednesday evening has been cancelled because of forecasted cold weather once the sun goes down.
The Patriots are 19-4, while North Greenville is 20-5 and riding a five-game winning streak. Francis Marion leads the all-time series 6-2, including a 2-1 win in 12 innings back on the opening weekend of the 2017 season.
FMU is ranked ninth in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II poll, while the Crusaders are 26th in the Collegiate Baseball poll.
Sophomore left-hander Arien Seymour (1-0, 4.11) is the probable FMU starting pitcher.
Junior designated hitter and part-time catcher William Robbins leads the Patriots in hitting with a .405 average and has one homer and 18 runs batted in. Junior outfielder Reese Cooley is batting .393 with team-high totals of six homers and 27 RBIs.
